I have had two days with sore throat and look what happens! I am now satisfied with the design of the site. No more Opera conflicts. It even validates to XHTML Strict standards. Well, I’m sure it doesn’t at the moment, but the entire site validated before I installed WordPress. I am running to installations of WordPress actually, one for the pictures and one for my ramblings. My decision to separate the two was a result of two common situations. I either really wanted to post a picture, and would type up a one-liner to accompany the image, or I would actually have something to say, and wouldn’t say it because I didn’t feel like preparing a picture. Hopefully for me, the new design will solve that problem.
When I do have something to say about the picture, you can read about it by clicking the picture. Spiffy. That’s also where you would proceed if you want to continue calling me ugly even when I’m not in the picture. It hurts me on the inside. But as long as I keep a leg up, I’ll be happy. As a sidenote, email and web addresses are no longer necessary to post, so we’ll know who’s calling who ugly. To a certain extent. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the new look. And if you don’t, let me know why. I am quite proud of it, and haven’t been as happy with a design since I re-did the Unknown Elements forums. That plug was not as subtle as I hoped.
As for my life, I have missed two days of work but am feeling pretty good otherwise. Calculus is dominating me, but that is old news. My brother wanted me to let everyone know that Gilmore Girls was really awesome this week. Twenty-four hours from now, Friends will be three hours gone, only to return in syndicated form. Having only religiously followed the show for about a season and a half, I consider myself lucky, because there are dozens of unseen episodes for me. But I guess I lose out a bit on the combined excitement and sadness of tomorrow. Ilium is progressing well, though I haven’t turned a page in the epic since yesterday morning. That is when I opened up Eric Meyer’s Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide, which then sparked my urge to redesign. I actually followed through with that spark this time, and with a few hours of sacrificed sleep, I am here and done. Good night!
