Yesterday, I’m pretty sure I lost every game I played. I couldn’t fix Paul’s computer. I didn’t beat any Burnout 3 missions. In NBA Live, I lost to Paul twice, Chris once, and Marvin twice. Then we went to the Pizza Factory. My brother and I raced in that Fury game, and I placed fifth. I played pinball and fell a million short of a free game. Air hockey went a little better. Marvin killed me 9-6 the first game. Then I won 7-5. Then he won 7-5. And on the high point of the night, I was down 2-6, facing defeat in the face. I scored five straight and the game was mine. I was a real winner again.
We went to Curt’s house afterwards to play some poker. I made it to the showdown, coming back from a low chip count and ready to take on Paul’s stack. I lost within two hands. At least it was a fun night.
