One More Summer Night

Here is one last entry about the summer and Oak Harbor before I type up something gigantic about my move-in experience. Paul’s and my brother’s posts inspired me a bit. I’m stealing a good amount of moments from Paul’s list. Here we go.

Jason’s Summer Lan Party. . I think I slept till 11PM. It was the first day of Wally’s week here so that was exciting.

Curt’s Graduation Party. . Rey shocked Curt. Literally. That’s about all that I remember from that. Oh and I beat Wally hardcore with Mitsurugi after a bunch of trash talk. Later that night, he revealed the real character he was practicing with. Again, I beat Wally hardcore with Mitsurugi after a bunch of trash talk.

Graduation. . This marks the beginning of summer. Actually, I’ll mention graduation rehearsal since it was a bit more eventful. Oak Harbor High School’s class of 2004 set a record for practice this year. We had the most run-throughs and took the longest time practicing than any previous year. We were quite proud.

Grad Night. It’s a fading memory now, but I do remember that I had a ton of fun. Go-Carts were fun, but Curt and I got smoked pretty hard on the track. Now it’s coming back to me. My first time through, I slowed down to pass by a cart that was turned around since a worker was helping that cart. That’s when Russ decided it’d be best to give me a little whiplash. The best way to do this is to slam right into the back of another cart. Russ did a good job.

After the Family Fun Center, I think we drove to South Center mall to some jungle caf?©. Blackjack tables were set up for fake gambling—and fake dealers. If the dealers from that night were in Las Vegas, I wouldn’t be in school right now. I would just fly there, win every hand, and be a millionaire. Eventually I’d be rich enough to waste money doubling my bet on one color in roulette till I won twice in a row. Back to my real life, a hypnotist came and made fools out of people. Like a clown college professor. Thanks Warbux.

Sumo Burger Ninjas. . Jason and I demolished the sumo burger challenge. The burger itself isn’t hard at all. It’d probably be a white-castle slider to a sumo wrestler. The fries are the small print. We came back to my house and figured it was the perfect time to shoot a ninja movie. It has a pretty grotesque decapitation scene. I’ll upload it somewhere someday.

The MaCHinE 2004 Lan of Doom. . I won a Soul Calibur II tournament. It was all-exile in the finals. Playing against Jason in the final was cool. The match was intense since our skill is really close to the same. No, wait, that’s Jason and Ryan. Sorry, I forget things easily. I won five rounds straight. Now I have two cool swords to represent my manliness.

My Graduation Party. . We wanted to choose a unique theme, so my mom and I decided on a sauna theme where the house was at about sixty-five degrees. Celsius. My mom made yakitori and stuffed shrimp. I’d go ahead and eat in a volcano if I could have some of that again. Oh well, fruit leather and beef jerky sticks are almost as good.

Seattle Art Museum. We went to an exhibit with pieces from the Kr??ller-M?ºller Museum. Most important of these pieces were the Van Gogh paintings and drawings. Nothing else really happened. Oh yah, Jerry bought the Pepto-Bismol bubble tea that day. Man, that made the day awesome.

That’s it for June and July. Or most of it I guess. I’ll do another summer post tomorrow or sometime soon. I guess this was the final summer entry after all.
