Spring break is pretty much over and I’m just trying to make the most of my final night with a site entry. In all, break was relaxing but a couple of basketball travesties managed to drag the mood down. At the start, Washington made it to the Sweet 16 and Team Exile advanced to the championship game. Near the end of the week, Washington was handled and we didn’t fair much better in tonight’s championship game.
I watched the extended edition of The Return of the King. It was good, but that probably goes without saying. Four hours is extremely long, but the original movie was nearly three and a half so it didn’t feel tremendously lengthy by any means. I also watched the first two Red vs. Blue seasons. Also entertaining. I still have to watch the commentary on both LoTR and RvB sometime, hopefully this weekend.
We had a sweet barbecue on Wednesday. The entire day was probably the peak of the break. Everyone got together and stayed together for the majority of the afternoon and evening. Chef Jerry worked the coals and cooked up some sizable slabs of beef. The steaks were awesome. Then we played basketball at Hillcrest until the sun set. Then we switched the lights on at Saratoga and ran full court there. We finished the night with some cards.
We had three poker nights and I did relatively well, but it felt like I owed everyone money after winning. As always, it was fun to just sit around with everyone. I managed to not go to the gym a single time. Hopefully I can change that habit this quarter. But taking action would be a lot better than hoping.
Oh yah, I got a Dell 700m. I wrote a review but I think I’ll type up another one sometime this week since I’ve spent a bit more time with it. In short, I’m really happy with it beyond the fact that it is my first laptop.
