(This is from my Xanga but it got a little long.)
Some notes: We don’t ever mess with the small bags of Sourz. The pharmacy joints. You gotta get the supermarket size because the big clusters stuck together are gold.
There are Haribo roulette’s and MEGA-roulettes. Same candy. The normals are good for pocketing. They have half the number of pieces compared to the Megas. Here’s the thing, if you have two normals rolls you get 4 end pieces instead of 2. Get two normals if you can.
I need to invest in Haribo, because they make Fizzy Cola. I’m pretty sure Stock Cars are on their way out (they’re getting harder and harder to find), and it’s a shame because I know not enough people have tried them.
I couldn’t find a picture of the real aussie licorice that trader joe’s and wal mart used to have. The quality went down when wal mart started carrying it so the good stuff is pretty much a product of our memories now.
The Gummi Choco stuff is like $3.99 for a tube (which holds about a small handful) so I can’t even act like I’m coppin these regularly, but I wish I could. Japan’s had the gummi industry locked for years quality-wise. They make toddler-size packages and it’s one of the more frustrating parts of life.
Calling candy-coated licorice ‘Good & Plenty’ is like labeling vegetables ‘meat’.
The UW Hub bookstore used to have mad candy game but they fell off when they ran out of mega-roulettes forever and stopped STOCKing STOCK cars. Bartell Drugs on the Ave has like six aisles and one is dedicated to candy. I want to shake Mr. Bartell’s hand.
