It’s a popcorn flick and doesn’t try to be anything more. It’s only 92 minutes, meaning it runs slightly longer than Aladdin. There’s not enough time to get tired of it. And there’s not enough time in three eons to get tired of Jessica Alba. The acting is better than the first, but that’s the same as Jerry telling me that Tokyo Drift was better than 2F2F. Best movie ever? No, but I enjoyed it. They fight the Silver Surfer around the world, everyone flexes their powers, there are a few cheesy jokes, and the CGI is what you’d expect in 2007 (meaning good). Lastly, I might have to check IMDB but I’m fairly certain, it’s the first movie with both Jessica Alba and Vanessa Minnillo. If you want something deeper than that, go rent Letters from Iwo Jima.
