Made a pot roast tonight. Used the recipe from one of the Good Eats episodes. Or I guess not so much. I used salt, pepper, onions, and garlic. Didn’t have any of the vinegar, tomato juice, or cumin. I did use a bunch of aluminum foil and a 7-bone roast. Easy to make, tastes good, just takes a bit of patience (3+ hours cooking, but it’s hands off so you can watch your favorite Lord of the Rings Film in the meantime). The best thing is, you can just drain the liquid, add some onions and garlic, and blend for gravy.
