The best movie featuring Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson since Episode II. There’s a sequence filmed in the Colosseum that’s pretty cool and served as a reminder that I couldn’t think of many movies actually filmed inside the gates. Apparently the film crew was only allowed to shoot for a few hours each day and couldn’t use any lighting equipment, so all the shots are lit by the sun. Also, they really love that shot of Anakin on top of the Sphinx. I suspect it’s the only actual location that didn’t require CGI so they milked it. I think nearly everyone is going to be biased against the movie going into it without knowing it because it was shoved down our throats during NFL games on Fox. Remember that 3-D animation that seemed to flash on the screen before every down and every replay? That was for Jumper. Something we discussed after watching this was how ridiculously obese each of us would be if we could just teleport everywhere. Wait for it on DVD.
