If you’re gonna be a bandwagon fan, you may as well give it 110%

This Thursday I’m flying down to San Diego to meet up with Wally and Jason, then we’re driving back up to San Jose. Some people think it’s sort of dumb, but a one-way plane ticket costs maybe $10-$20 more (if that) than the gas to drive alone would. And if you still disagree, you’ve gotta agree that road trips are basically always a good idea. I’ll arrive Thursday night, we’ll hang out in San Diego during Friday-day, and we’ll make a stop in Los Angeles before hitting the empty beyond of Mid-Cal (Center-Cal?).

We’ve been making plans and it crossed my mind that Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals would land somewhere near that weekend, so there was a chance that it’d be on the 23rd. So I checked today and it actually will be on the 23rd. I did the pro-con-list relative “How much will I regret this” If-I-buy vs. If-I-don’t. I thought about it for a second and figured that attending a game at Staples in May with the MVP vs. guy-that-probably-should’ve-been-MVP (unless dinos-Horry and the Spurs prevail) probably hovers around an 8.5 on the once-in-a-lifetime scale. So I got the tickets. Here’s the view from the Staples site:

We won’t exactly be pitching my movie ideas to Jack Nicholson, but can he use the wall as a backrest? I don’t know how much it’ll help, but it can’t hurt—Please, please keep your fingers crossed for a Hornets win on Monday. (Do it for me! I appreciate it.)
