Well, that took longer than expected

I spent a good portion of my free time this past week redesigning the site. Basically finding out that I’m still alright with HTML/CSS, but moving the design into WordPress was a bit of a struggle because a lot of the tags I had some idea how to use were deprecated. Not that it’s a bad thing—the new tags take care of what used to require extra plug-ins or some combination of PHP/MySQL. But I’m fairly pleased.

I’ve still got a bit of cleanup to do in older entries. Especially those live blog images. From now on, I think I’m going to collect all the entries from a live blog day, compile them into one post, and delete the old entries. Also, I plan to write more text to go with photography entries, so I might, though this might be a lofty goal considering my relationship with laziness, go back through my photo entries and write some text to go with them. The inspiration comes from popular mom-blogger (formerly a fired-from-work-for-her-blog-blogger) Dooce, who basically has three photo sections, which are individually more interesting than a lot of photography blogs. And I figure if she can write something for every picture she posts, then I should be able to write something for my pictures. And hey, I only post
on solstices and full moons, so it can’t be too bad.

Anyway, that’s the reason for the lack of updates. But I guess that only covers me for the past week. Consider the weeks before that just me being burned out from writing those books about my weekends. After a redesign, I tend to post more often. I think that should be the case this time around also. Please let me know if you see any glaring errors. Thanks in advance.
