I saw Paul do this, and I think I want to do the same thing more often. Looking through the archives, I enjoy posts more where I’m just writing about whatever. So I’m gonna try to get back to basics. Starting now with ten minutes of writing about whatever comes to mind.
Hillcrest Football
We played our annual game today. Lots of fun as usual. Our number one pick (Junior aka J.R. Period aka Sky Pilot aka Asian Adonis aka Painted-On Dri-Fit) got taken out early so I had to shoulder the load—meaning to give Jerry a little taste of slow-motion Fake Cut City (close relative to Pump Fake City) then to drop literally every single pass thrown to me. And on the other side of the ball, shoulder the load means to trash talk Dan on defense then get burned by Dan on defense. Overall, a fun three hours.
Wow that took me ten minutes to write. I thought I’d be able to write more. As a final note, as much as I’d enjoy the poetic justice of the Steelers getting done in at the end of the game by penalties, that Santonio Holmes’ TD celebration was one of the best (considering the moment, the simplicity, and the lack of props). I’ll post more pictures from our game tomorrow.
