Things I did in November: Part 2

I spent pretty much all of November settling down. The first two weeks were settling down in Curt and Dyane’s house (they’re big kids now!). And I started work in the last two weeks. Continuing on.

Marvin drove down with me and he stayed for a week to spend time with his cousins. He was basically my last link to Washington. Being overdramatic, I call the airport hug the last goodbye. Marvin is gone in the first picture and leaving in the second.

I was, and still sort of am, trying to force myself to do things outside of the house. It’d be easy for me to get in a routine, go to work, go to the gym, go home, eat, and sleep. My first two weeks I was pretty adamant about finding a skimboard so that I could do something at the beach. Eventually I want to do the fancier skimboarding and after that take surf lessons but for now I’m still highly entertained with the wooden skimboard.

On my second weekend, I met up with Wally and we drove to Las Vegas for Curt’s bachelor party. I decided it’d be cool to play Kanye’s “All of the Lights” once we turned onto the strip around 4am. And I was right! Great weekend. We love mirror pictures.

Side note: we listened to that album all the way there and all the way back and basically went back and forth between MBDTF and J. Cole’s Friday Night Lights through November and December. Two things: 1.) I love them both and 2.) I need new music.

Just a little bit of video chatting with my favorite pair of super strong roommates.

Don’t gag, it’s gonna get a little bromantic. My first two weeks I sort of sulked and missed everyone in Washington. A lot. I expected it to be like that the first week then I thought the second week I’d start work and have that to keep my mind off things. But then my start date got delayed another week. Anyway, Jason came back the third week and that made things a lot better since we were able to trade glitter stickers and gossip.

In the first picture he’s stocking up on Four Loko and in the second picture he’s folding a ton of white tees. While listening to the Let’s Get Married Remix. I don’t know why I remember that he was listening to that song at this particular moment. Yah I do. Because I remember thinking, “Why is this song on his playlist?”

If you ever have a chance, go to Bachi Burger. Absolutely go to Bachi Burger. It’s a sit-down burger place and the burger I had has to be in the top-3 I’ve had, and I have a hard time thinking of two that were clearly better. It’s on the same level as Lunchbox Laboratory and cheaper. They’ve got all kinds of fries and they don’t slack either. The second picture is of me and Chad at some Korean BBQ place at some hour of the night. Going hard in the paint.

Ten more days left for November. I haven’t checked for sure, but I can almost guarantee there are more food pictures to come.
