It only took three months, but time for the 2011 pictures. Then I think I’ll do some catching up on Things I Did (August through January 2012). We’ve moved on to GroupMe, which is better for talking but not for photo sharing. The great thing about BBM group chat was having the photos in one place with comments appearing with the photo and not getting confused within the rest of the conversation. Anyway.
January
Tubo loved to post pictures of him working. Everyone else loved to put quotes around “working”.
Feburary
Albert and Tubo trying some hats on.
March
We went to Vegas in March for Jerry’s bachelor party. Good times and one of the more entertaining months to browse through. Here’s me and Jon after Tao. At that point I never thought I’d be more tired in my life.
Then I woke up for work that Monday.
Also there’s this series of pictures telling my friends how much I’ve missed them! Among other things.
That last one has the bonus of Tubo doing a Big Foot cameo.
April
Sent out some morning daps. Would my friends leave me hanging?
Of course not.
May
Junior sent out some morning daps. Would his friends leave him hanging?
Of course not.
And of course, Jerry got married this month!
June
“I’m in Egypt bros!” Nobody fell for it. We’re not dolts after all.
And that’s that. I think we started using GroupMe around here. Now we have iPhones and take better quality pictures but don’t share as many. The best thing was the quantity of pictures we shared. Quality—not so much. There was a very low barrier for things shared since it didn’t really clutter the conversation. To close out, here’s a bonus set of pictures that spanned a couple of months.
Lexington’s Oddysey
Jerry took a picture of a spider one day to share with us.
He fed him smaller spiders and shared that too!
The caption for this one was, “Ces, he says hi.” I don’t think he really said that.
Then Tubo took custody of him and he named him Lexington. And also caught flies and put them in a ziplock bag to feed Lexington. Then he’d update us and let us know Lexington doesn’t eat already-dead flies. He wants to hunt for himself.
This caption said he was trying to escape. I don’t know if he did or not. And I don’t know what happened to him, but this is the last picture of Lexington.
I showed some of these Lexington pics to a friend thinking she’d think it was kind of cool. Her reaction, “Why?! This is what you guys share in the chat?”
Yep.
